Feb. 14. The entire Minnesota DFL delegation , except Collin Peterson, CD-7, voted for the economic stimulus package yesterday. Peterson voted with the three Republicans who all voted against the economic improvements promised by the bill. Minnesota’s share will be about $9.1 billion. The package is expected to translate into 66,000 to 92,000 jobs for Minnesotans. Medicaid, highways, rapid transit, alternate energy, law enforcement and tax cuts are all areas that will benefit.
More information soon on the distribution and how it might affect the current budget deliberations.
