Membership Calling Project
Statement of Purpose – The Senior Caucus Calling Project is an important part of the Caucus’ 2009 plan to define and solidify its membership, improve its communication tools, develop an effective advocacy program, prepare senior vote-getting packages for 2010 campaigns, and, in general, prepare for effective participation by seniors in the next election cycle. All individuals on the Senior Caucus mailing list will be contacted by telephone after first being alerted to the call by a postcard that summarizes the program and information desired. Responses to discussion questions on how they use the caucus media, their involvement in the 2008 campaign, what they think the caucus should be doing now and how they would like to participate in future activities will be summarized for future planning. A comprehensive report will be issued and pertinent data will be entered in My Campaign for program development.
The Target population is the individuals in the Caucus’ My Campaign database. They have been divided into three groups: (1) Paid members; (2) Activists (have been active or indicated they might want to be if given the right task}; and (3) Information recipients (have indicated an interest in the Senior Caucus at a meeting or event}. They are further divided as those with e-mail and those without e-mail.
