The members of the Senior Caucus welcome you. We are excited that many Minnesota seniors like you have chosen to join our efforts to take back our state and country for the benefit of the people. We bring forth the needs and aspirations of seniors so that those aspirations can direct the actions of our legislatures.
The 2012 elections will soon be upon us, and we are working hard toward necessary election goals: to take back the Minnesota Senate and House, to send a full complement of DFL representatives to the US House, to keep Amy Klobuchar as our senator, and to reelect President Obama.
We must get a strong DFL senior turnout for the election.
Succeeding in these goals means that the programs and services seniors rely on will continue. Failure is too disastrous to imagine. But to succeed, we must work together, and we must count on seniors like you!
You can choose to engage in the Senior Caucus in different styles, but the most vital need is for paid members. Paid membership means that the Senior Caucus has more resources for achieving your goals. You can:
Choose now to become a PAID MEMBER – Dues are $10 thru Dec. 31, 2012. This money allows the Caucus to send newsletters and informational bulletins, keep a website, work with and lobby candidates, and have tables at events. You will receive our newsletter via e-mail and be kept up-to-date by our issue alerts.
You can be active in our local chapters, contribute to our working groups, and take part in directing caucus our activities.
