The Census Matters
Help Minnesota keep its house seat. We have an extra incentive this year to be certain we are counted as Minnesotans by the U.S. census that begins in March. Holding on to the state’s current complement of eight members of the U.S. House of Representatives is at stake.
We have been warned for months that this census could result in the loss of one congressional seat in Minnesota. The apportionment of House seats is determined every ten years by the census returns. Unfortunately, some state populations are growing much faster that Minnesota’s – for example, Arizona, Florida and Nevada.
Make certain that you and your entire family is counted. It’s not only good for Minnesota, it’s the law.
